MISSION
4th-5th Grade
45
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6
Mission 45 continues to meet during our 10:30am service. There will be no Mission 45 at our 9:00am service at this time.
At Mission City Church, we recognize that each stage of development is unique - in the way kids interact with one another, understand God's Word, and engage in their faith. We developed Mission 45 with that in mind.
Mission 45 is a preteen ministry that creates space for students in 4th and 5th grade to expand their faith experience. They will have time to worship with the adults and high school students, followed by lessons that pertain to their specific age group. We believe Mission 45 will bridge the gap between our Kids and Student ministries, while allowing your child to engage in and serve the church in meaningful ways.
What to expect
+ Sign in. You will continue to sign in your child using the iPad system in our lobby, just as you would with students in our Kids Ministry.
+ Worship together. After your child is signed in, they can join you in the auditorium for the worship portion of our service. There will be a break in the service where Mission 45 students will be dismissed along with their small group leaders.
+ Age specific lessons. Your child will engage in lessons that are catered specifically to this age group. They will have time to connect with others their age and learn about Jesus in ways that resonate with preteens.
+ Safe environment. Your child’s safety continues to be our top priority. All our Mission 45 leaders undergo thorough background checks, and we maintain a secure check-in/check-out system to ensure peace of mind for parents.

A note from Erin...
As our church has grown, the desire in my heart to create a preteen ministry has grown as well. I see how our 4th and 5th graders have become such leaders in our Kids Ministry classroom, and how they could benefit from a space of their own. I hope that as your student transitions from Kids Ministry to Mission 45, your family feels seen, cared for, and connected.
If you have any questions about this program or want to get involved in leading a Mission 45 small group, please send me an email. We'd love to hear from you!
